“The true teacher is one who helps you to discover
the teacher within yourself.”
Krishnamurti

Our Team

Each member of our team brings their own unique gifts and talents, along with years of lived experience and a depth of knowledge. Whether they are steeped in anatomy and understand the structure of a pose or a class, or they lean into the embodied experience over shape and invite students to explore and discover, what they all have in common is a focus on engaged learning and application.

Subjects come alive through discussion, practice, integration, and exploration. Our teachers really get that it’s less about what they know (and they do know a lot) but more about what you, as a student, are learning. Not just with your mind, but also through your body, your voice and your intuition.

Gioconda Parker

FOUNDER

Gioconda Parker, ERYT-500, SEP, MA, is a beloved Yoga Teacher and Somatic Practitioner with nearly 30 years of experience in yoga, embodiment, and transformational education. Blending the depth of yoga lineage with the insight of somatic therapy and transpersonal psychology, she offers a uniquely integrated approach that is both approachable and profound.

Her early inroads to yoga were shaped by influential mentors Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee and her Austin teacher and mentor, Murti. Through decades of personal practice, and a deep relationship with the natural world she has developed her soulful approach to practice both on and off the mat. Known for her clarity, intuition, and compassion, Gioconda guides students toward genuine embodiment, meaningful growth, and authentic expression.

But her deepest passions come alive in the teacher training and retreat spaces. She’s always seen yoga as a doorway to the inner self, and guides trainees to their inner wisdom with genuine kindness and enthusiasm. She found the One OM School of Yoga to bring together exceptional teachers and global communities to support connection, learning, and transformation in some of the most beautiful places in the natural world.

Cole Chance

YOGI, SOMATIC TEACHER,
AUTHOR & SPEAKER

I’m Cole – a mover, a wonderer, a story weaver, an apprentice of the human experience. My journey has taken me through addiction, across continents, and into the depths of my own psyche. Again and again, I’ve found that the most profound journey is the return, the one that leads us back home – to our bodies, our breath, and a life deeply felt.

I believe in movement as medicine, story as a bridge, and curiosity as the most profound compass. My work is an integration of the physical and the poetic – where yoga and somatics meet philosophy, neuroscience, and the mythic to help us remember who we are beneath all the layers. These offerings are an invitation to question, to soften, to expand.

A deep bow for my many teachers on and off the mat as this practice of inner and outer unity has literally saved my life.

Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
