In all honesty, it’s really about you…

Establish your Practice, Discover your Voice, Create life-long Connections

At OneOm you’ll learn to practice and teach in a way that is authentic and true for you

What makes
One Om different?

At One Om we don’t focus on just teaching yoga — we teach YOU. We help you find your way to authenticity — in how you move on a yoga mat, in how you express yourself through your voice and your body, in how you relate to the people around you, in how you pursue your passions in life.

We don’t teach a subject, we teach a person, we teach to each person in each and every group. Our teachers and facilitators are skilled at helping each student refine their practice to support a life-long journey in yoga, introducing them to the depth and breadth of what yoga has to offer. Every one of our teachers has at least a decade of practice. They know what it takes to stay engaged and excited, and they share yoga from their honest, lived experience.

We don’t tell students how to teach, we support them in discovering their voice, with a natural cadence and expression, and an approach to yoga that’s honest and enlivening. We give our students the building blocks to create the kind of yoga experience they want to share with the world. Whether its in the classroom, in the boardroom, or on a mountaintop, we help them bring their vision to fruition.

We don’t just hold yoga teacher trainings, we hold space for genuine, deep connection. Our approach to learning includes engaged discussion, embodied experience and shared wisdom—and as you get know yourself more deeply, you get to know each other too. Friendships and true connections begin on day one. This shared journey is like no other, and the friends you make here will know you in a way no one else does. It’s a three week experience that will create life-long memories.

What we do?

Education

At One Om we create trainings that offer a high-level education with experienced teachers, a deeply personal transformative experience, and a community where you will build connections that will last a lifetime.

Location.

We choose retreat locations and centers that foster a healing environment. You’ll connect deeply with nature and her rhythms, with yourself through our transformative curriculum, and with your fellow students and teachers, because your growth and evolution is connected to theirs.

Connection.

Our collective approach to the deep work of showing up as your authentic self becomes a shared experience. In three weeks, you’ll know some of these people better than people you’ve been acquainted with your whole life.

Before the training, I had my set way of doing things, and ideas about what path I should follow, what I should value. But now, I’ve really opened up and become more curious about life, and what might be possible for my future.

I came into the training wanting answers—what I got instead was a way of listening to my own intuition which has made me so much more confident as a teacher and a human.

It’s hard to find words to express the impact training with Gioconda has had on my life. I have emerged not only as a more confident and capable teacher & facilitator, but also as a more connected, aware, and enriched human being.

Gia is a deep well of knowledge in the roots and philosophy of yoga. She taught me how to weave philosophy into my teaching so I’m able to speak to student’s minds and hearts as well as their bodies in my classes. She is always open to provide feedback or support, and I’m grateful and honored to have her as my teacher.

I’ve completed two YTTs with Gia and have had the privilege of practicing with her over many years. Her guidance has deeply shaped my personal practice and supported my growth both on and off the mat. I’m grateful for her continued presence in my yogic journey and look forward to learning from her for years to come.

Gia is not just a yoga teacher: Gia is a mentor who truly listens, with presence, attention, and heart. During my 300-hour teacher training with her, I discovered a teacher who doesn’t simply instruct, but gently shares her wisdom, always with kindness, respect, and warmth.

About our Founder

Gioconda Parker, ERYT-500, SEP, MA, is a beloved yoga teacher and somatic practitioner with nearly 30 years of experience in yoga, embodiment, and transformational education. Blending the depth of yoga lineage with the insight of somatic therapy and transpersonal psychology, she offers a uniquely integrated approach that is both approachable and profound.

Her early inroads to yoga were shaped by influential mentors Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee and her Austin teacher and mentor, Murti. Through decades of personal practice, and a deep relationship with the natural world she has developed her soulful approach to practice both on and off the mat. Known for her clarity, intuition, and compassion, Gioconda guides students toward genuine embodiment, meaningful growth, and authentic expression.

But her deepest passions come alive in the teacher training and retreat spaces. She’s always seen yoga as a doorway to the inner self, and guides trainees to their inner wisdom with genuine kindness and enthusiasm. She found the One OM School of Yoga to bring together exceptional teachers and global communities to support connection, learning, and transformation in some of the most beautiful places in the natural world.

When not teaching around the world, she’s at home in Austin, Texas with her local community, or exploring trails in the woods with her mini-Aussie, Ash

Our Philosophy

At One Om, we honor both the deep roots of yoga, its history and philosophy, and centuries of tradition, and yoga’s ability to adapt to what’s needed and stay relevant to humans across time. And what keeps yoga alive is the humans who step into the lineage, who take up the practice, who study and learn more, and who then choose to share from what they’ve learned and integrated.

In our trainings, we seek to connect you with the essence of the practice, to help you immerse in the experience of yoga, not only as a physical practice, but as a way of seeing the world, of being a positive influence in your own life and in the lives of others.

From there, we invite you to lean into your own natural talents, gifts, and interests, as you consider how you will step into this great tradition and contribute your insights, your dedication, and your light to keep yoga alive, relevant, and honored so its gifts continue to be available for generations to come.

Your Experience

Attending a One OM training is your commitment to learning, growing, and expanding who you are as a person, a yogi, and a community member.

Through daily practice, you’ll explore yoga from the inside out, learning what it feels like to move from intuition and inner guidance, as well as technique and anatomical intelligence.

As we dive into philosophy through study and discussion, you’ll begin to see the world with a wider lens, allowing in new perspectives and opening up to new possibilities.

You’ll learn to use your voice, both powerfully and authentically, as you learn to share the practice of yoga in a supportive and energizing community.

And you’ll get to know the person you become when you are surrounded by other people who want to hear what you have to share, who support you in your personal growth and expression, and who are also opening up to what’s possible in life.
